Weatherboards show every shortcut, because the sun hits each board edge and any peeling or bare timber telegraphs straight through the top coat. We prepare weatherboard homes properly: scrape back loose paint, sand the edges flat, fill nail holes and gaps, spot-prime bare timber, then apply two full top coats. Geelong, Queenscliff, Portarlington and the Surf Coast have streets of older weatherboard homes, and coastal air is hard on them. We use exterior paints suited to local conditions and pay attention to the boards that cop the weather, not just the ones you see from the street. Rotten or split boards are pointed out at quote stage so you can decide whether to replace them before painting, rather than finding out after.

We walk the house with you, mark any boards that need repair or replacement, and quote the job in writing.
Prepare the surface
Loose paint is scraped and sanded, gaps are filled and bare timber is primed.
Paint two top coats
Two full exterior coats, brushed and rolled board by board so edges and ends are covered.
Final check
We walk the house again with you at the end and touch up anything that needs it.
